Buttons found on Ascension Island, South Atlantic

The above picture shows uniform buttons from the British Royal Marines. The U.S. dime is for scale. I have not exactly dated these items, but can tell you that they date back to late 1700 to early 1800 era.

These bullets are from WWII. The M-1 clip contain live ammo, also the 45 Cal. bullet is also live.
Note the empty shell casings on the outside area of the photo, they are practice rounds left behind by British forces prior to the Faulkin Island invasion.
